Default Guild requirement

Perhaps an absurd idea.

When a new member joins a guild that member must participate in a gvg battle within a certain time frame or be auto-booted from the guild.

This is a one time only requirement per guild.
Eg. Ben joins guild A, he has 30 days to participate in a gvg battle (win or loss doesn't matter)
Ben does this, now that requirement is erased and he does not have to gvg again ever.

However if Ben leaves guild A for Guild B he must once again gvg within 30 days.

Consider it initiation.

30 days may be short though so 45,60 days maybe.

fits in with roleplay, and somewhat eases people into a new environment as their guild leader would probably set up a match for the new players so that they can permanently be in the guild.

Maybe its absurd >.>

It is absurd... I didn't do a GvG with my guild until 10 months after I joined, and my first guild never got enough members to do a full GvG.

/notsigned - Sorry, there are many, many guilds out there that don't GvG. And if there were a requirement such as this, most non-GvG type guilds would just throw together a group, enter a guild battle, and give their opponents an easy win. Which makes it a total waste of time for everyone.

My guild has never (and most likely will never) GvG before. This is a terrible idea.

idea fails at so many levels

don't force people into something they don't want, a game should stay fun and enjoyable rather than filled with stuff "you have to do"

What's the point of this requirement or any requirement? It's not that hard for the leader/officers to see who they need to kick for not participating in guild acivities. I also heard there are PvE guilds.

As leader of a small PvE Guild that has never done GvG I'd get auto kicked from my own Guild, if I'm honest that would probably upset me a bit

i think a requirement would be useful though i dont think a gvg battle would be the best. so if it was like a tab the officers and leader could select things like must have x rank in x title, players must have x amount of hours playing, or players must compeat in a x arena battle and win.

what i am basically saying is if they where to add a tab which allowed the guild leader or officer options that they could set as requirements would be a much better idea.

Absurd? THIS IS DUMB!

But seriously, not all guilds GvG. Even for guilds that do GvG, there would be no point to this.

Guild with 3 members? Yes, they do exist. Guilds that have 50+ members and NEVER GvG? Yes, they do exist.

The idea is absurd, and does not consider the fact that some people don't play PvP, GvG, HA, etc. at all. Why force those people to do what they don't want to?

my guild tried GvG a few times and all of us (those of us in the guild at the time) agreed that it sucked and we all went back to strictly PvE. It should be up to the individual guilds on what is required in the guild. No one should be FORCED to do something in-game that they dont like. If I was required to do a guild battle (even just 1 time) to be in any guild, I would not belong to a guild at all.

You shouldn't force people to do something they don't want to do.
